Application Procedures - October 31 Deadline
To obtain an application form, please contact the AEMA Field Officer serving your area.Step by Step Procedures:
STEP 1: Review the Terms and Conditions that govern JEPP to determine whether an intended project qualifies. Additional information and assistance is available from the AEMA Field Officer serving your area.
STEP 2: Complete the Project Application Package and forward to the AEMA Field Officer serving your area, along with a list of requested equipment and a quote from the supplier.
STEP 3: Project(s) proposals will be reviewed by a committee composed of members of the AEMA, Public Safety Canada and one or two members of an impartial municipality. Projects will be ranked in order of priority based on the need, eligibility, availability of funds and the recommendation of AEMA Field Officers.
STEP 4: Communities will be advised whether their project is approved or denied in April by the AEMA. The project must not commence prior to final approval being received. Projects not approved because of limited program funding may be re-submitted for the next fiscal year.
Claim Procedures - March 31 Deadline
When the project is completed, please submit:- Completed Certificate of Purchase Claim Form - Available online
- Copies of invoices
- Copies of cancelled cheques to confirm payment
- A short statement from the project coordinator stating how the project positively affected the municipality. Examples of how the purchased equipment was used, or how the purchased equipment may be used should be included - Available online
**Only items approved within the original project application are eligible for cost sharing.**
